I, too, thought Weruva would make the list.

Our Bichon has flea allergy dermatitis. We live in Florida where fleas are abundant. I have followed this site since itā€™s infancy; so wanted to try everything natural. I was even going against the advice of our guyā€™s dermatologist. For about a year now, we compromised, and went with a combo. I am not crazy about ā€œdrugsā€, but it came down more to quality of life. Our guy gets Comfortis monthly, and we use Dr. Mercolaā€™s Natural Flea and Tick Defense applied after being sprayed on a paper towel. I never spray it on his skin. I canā€™t even remember the last time we saw a flea.

NectarMom ~ our guy had the frothy throw up, as well ~ in our bed! : ). Good luck.

NectarMom ~ our Bichon does not do well on kibble. Even if it seems to go well initially, we end up with throwing up. He does not get much kibble, but I have found two he seems to do ok on in small amounts. Right now, he has some Natureā€™s Variety LID Duck. They have a turkey, as well. He also does well on Nutrisca Salmon. Unfortunately, the only turkey they have is canned. He seems to do fine on high protein ~ unless itā€™s in a kibble. I believe these are around 29 and 30. He eats more raw and canned, but has had no issues with either of these kibbles. I hope you can find a solution for your pups.

    Hi Hound Dog Mom ~

Our 6 1/2 year old Bichon was diagnosed with a luxating patella with a grade of 1/2. The vet sells Dasuquin, but he knew I probably would not want to use it with our guyā€™s allergies. I think I would like to try the Joint Care RX you mentioned. Do you know how much I would give him at 14 lbs? Is there another supplement that you think may work better with this issue?

    Thanks so much!!

Hi Aimee ~ I had to register on here just to say thank you!! Dupree has been under the care of a dermatologist for two years. I wish I had known about the itchnot site earlier. What great info! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have some reading to do! : )
