Has anyone heard of using vitamin C for dogs with allergies/ear issues? A collie/sheltie rescue person suggested it to me for Boone.
pugmomsandyParticipantI can see how that would make sense as C is an antioxidant and antioxidants support the immune system. My dogs are on it anyways for their urine.
InkedMarieMemberThanks Sandy,
I used it for a dog with crystals, never heard of it for allergies. Think I may give it a shotpugmomsandyParticipantAlthough astaxanthin is suppose to be a much stonger antioxidant than C and E.
Hound Dog MomParticipantI would look for a C supplement that includes bioflavanoids – quercitin is known to be particularly helpful for allergies.
pugmomsandyParticipantI just ordered some quercetin from swansons too!
InkedMarieMemberWell crap, already got vit C so too late.
