Hi all,
Two weeks ago I started switching my two dogs over from Natural Balance Venison and Sweet Potato to Fromm Grain Free Beef Frittata Veg. One week of switching over and then last week was their first week on the new food by itself.
When they were on NB they had firm, easy to pick up stools. Two weeks on Fromm and their stools are formed, but soft, hard to pick up. Should I be concerned? How long should I give them to get used to the new food? I realize the Fromm is much richer than NB.
This is so confusing, but I’m trying to do the right thing for them.
Thanks!
theBCnutMemberGive them a couple more weeks for their body to adjust to the new nutrients. You may want to add a spoonful of canned pure pumpkin to their food for a while to help.
BRTMemberThanks for your post. Within a couple of days of me starting this thread their poop started to firm up. All is well in Fromm land. 🙂
