I’m trying to find a quality puppy food for my Alabai (CAO), that does not contain chicken or chicken meal as he may be allergic to that.
Judy GMemberI feed my standard poodles Canidae Pure Sea. One of my pups has many food allergies and does great on this food. There is no chicken or chicken meal in it. It is limited Ingredients, grain free, has antioxidants and probiotics, and is an all life stages dry food. There are other flavors available in this formula. I have found that Chewy.com is the cheapest and easiest place to purchase. Hope this helps.

Janet HMemberThank you just, I’ll try that.
pugmomsandyParticipantSome brands with limited ingredients or chicken free formulas are Earthborn Holistic Venture, Pure Vita, Wellness Simple, Whole Earth Farms, Simply Nourish Limited Ingredient, Nature’s Variety Instinct Limited.
Are you trying to avoid all forms of chicken including fat and eggs?
Janet HMemberI’m thinking it’s just the meat. The vet advised to check Rayne nutrition for rabbit or duck..maybe crocodile etc..I just can’t afford that. But you bring up a good question to ask the vet. Thank you.
