Found this site, spent time researching a 5 star option… Merrick… Our 2 yr old yellow lab has been eating a 2.5-3 star IAMs dry food… We feed 1 cup 2x/day… Tonite gave her 1/4 cup new food and 3/4 old… 20 minutes later she left it in our hallway. Any suggestions? Not a smart idea to go from 3 to 5 star? Too much for her system?

I like to suggest a smaller jump. Try a 3-4 star food first with similar ingredients. Also giving a probiotic/digestive enzyme with meals may help. You can also start with a smaller percentage of new food. I’ve fostered many dogs and they have done well on 3.5-4.5 star foods. I’ll mix a lower protein food with a higher protein food if needed. Keep in mind that some 5 star foods are around 33% and some can be over 40%. I’ve probably tried a dozen or so kibbles on my personal dogs over the years.
