Kelly SParticipant
My almost 13 year old pup had high liver enzymes and an U/S showed cirrhosis. Are there any commercial dog foods that are good for this aside of the prescription ones? Has anyone had success making homemade foods for their dogs with liver problems? I am hoping to give her half homemade with 30% liver friendly proteins/70% carbs such as oatmeal, pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, etc. I would still like to give her half canned as well to make sure she is not missing anything. So far, I’ve got it narrowed down to Royal Canin Hepatic, Nature’s Origin Turkey Feast but would love other suggestions!
