Naturella
MemberDori,
Thank you for the information – yes, I am in Cobb as well and we only have 2 dogs in the apartment. My friend, though, who lives in Austell/Marietta (West Cobb) just took in her mother’s dog and that makes 3 for her, so this is why I asked.
And yes, I will alert Dr. Mike of the food ASAP. I’m working on a project for work, watching Houdini on the History channel, admiring Bruno’s cuteness and following this site at the same time, which is a bit much, lol!
Dori
MemberAlexandra. I love a multi-tasker. You go girl!
Naturella
MemberDori,
Thank you! Wish you could give me a job – I have at least one quality you like! 😉 lol.
But anyway, report done, film over, now to alert Dr. Mike about the food! 🙂
Naturella
MemberDr. Mike said he can’t review a customizable food at this time… So no review of Petbrosia will be coming anytime soon.
Dori
MemberThanks for checking that out with Dr. Mike Naturella.
Naturella
MemberYou’re welcome, Dori, anytime! And, as you said, it may not be AS customizable as it claims to be since all your criteria yielded the same formula, but oh well.
How’s that Victor working out for your girls, btw?
Dori
MemberHi Naturella. I just spoke to someone in customer service at Petbrosia. The company is a year old and they only have the two formulas. Chicken and grain free Salmon. I was thinking of ordering the 3 lb. box but decided against it once I realized how young the company is. She told me they are getting great feed back but, what else would she say, she’s in customer service.
As far as the Victor’s I tried it with all three girls and it just was awful. I don’t know why it happened but all three dogs got the worst diarrhea they have ever had. Poops were totally black, gooey (only word I can use to describe it) and stunk to high heaven, I couldn’t pick any of it up so I had to keep the hose out to wash it away. Oh, and they were huge huge poops! If it was only one of the dogs I would think that something didn’t agree with her, especially if it had been Katie, but it was all three dogs. I gave it a fair shot. Needless to say, they are back on their raw and their poops are back to being small and normal. I called Victor’s to speak to them about any issues and they told me I was their only call about this issue. I checked the bag. It didn’t smell bad, food looked fine, wasn’t expired and their were no ingredients that they couldn’t eat. Well Katie is the only one with intolerances. Hannah and Lola have never had an issue with any food in the past. Oh well, 🙁 back to the drawing board. Thanks for asking.
Naturella
MemberDori, I see. Yeah, I figured Petbrosia would be young of a company.
And oh no!!! I am so sorry this happened to your girls on Victor!!! I never had problems with it… But I’m sure raw is better for them and the switch to kibble must have upset their tummies… Hope you find something else that could work for them! What about Dr. Tim’s RPM? Or Earthborn Holisitic GF, NVI Rabbit maybe, or any of the Wellness COREs?
Akari_32
ParticipantToday’s haul!
Total out of pocket: $0.36
Total savings: $80.19This may be my best haul ever! Very happy I decided to print out those $1 off any can coupons, because the bags (and cans) were on clearance, which means they are extra 30% off the clearance prices, and I would have paid $6 a bag if I hadn’t printed those extra coupons! I wish I’d’ve printed a few more though, because I wanted 4 bags. Oh well, this worked out great, and I paid even less total than I was thinking I was going to be paying per bag (which would have been $1.97 plus tax if it wasn’t for the weird clearance deals lol).
So, in three separate orders I did:
1x $5 off Wellness Manufacturer coupon
1x $5 off any Natural or Specialized brand PetSmart coupon
3x $1 off any Wellness can coupons1 4lb bag of Wellness Toy Breed Senior (the only clearance bags they had left)
4x 6 oz cans of Wellness Senior (again, the only one on clearance)
Bags were on clearance for $11.97 each. After additional 30% off they were $8.38 each
Cans were on clearance for $1.50, and after the additional 30% was applied, they were $1.05.Had I had more than 10 $1 off can coupons, I could have gotten a crap ton of cans, but I forgot the clearance items were extra 30% off and wasn’t even expecting to buy cans in the first place, just the bags, but the price of the bags after the extra 30% wouldn’t have let me get the best deal. This worked out great, though, for totally messing me up! LOL I’m very happy over all, and the cans will be going to the local shelter, along with some other food I’ve accumulated and decided to not use lol

MemberFor anyone who feeds Merrick dry or canned, Penny Wise Paws posted some coupons for this brand along with suggestions for stacking them with Petco coupons:

ParticipantOoh, nice find, Bdog! Too bad my canned food cupboard is full!
Akari_32
ParticipantWish that was cheaper! I do hate the fact that most of my canned stash for the dogs is Purina…. Lol
Cyndi
MemberHere’s a couple coupons if anyone is interested….

Bobby dog
MemberI always use these coupons, thx Cyndi!
I haven’t tried the new formula, almost afraid to. Bobby I am sure will be fine, but only a few of my cats liked NV frozen raw to begin with. I still have a half a bag of the old formula left so I guess I’ll see next month if they like it or if Bobby will get to finish off some more cat food. lol
Dori
MemberThanks Cyndi. It’s one of the foods in our rotation. Great coupon find.
Cyndi
MemberNo problem guys. I’m on their email list and they email me all the time and sometimes include coupons. I signed up on their site before I had decided to go with homemade raw for Bailey.
Glad you guys can use them! 🙂

MemberHi Cyndi!!! Thanks for the Instinct Raw coupons!!! Do I have to go to a website or do I screenshot it or…??? I wanna get Oscar get started on raw food soon so those coupons might come in handy!!!:D
Bobby dog
MemberHi Kristin:
Not Cyndi, I just checked out how I could print this coupon from my computer. I put my cursor on the image, right clicked and then selected “open image in new tab.” Then only the coupon I selected was shown in a new window. Then, if I right clicked on the image again an option to “print” along with several other options were shown in a drop down menu, select “print” and you should be good to go. If this doesn’t help I am sure Cyndi will be by sometime today to help! Also, if you go to Nature’s Variety website and sign up for their e-mails, they will send you monthly coupons for their products. Good luck with Oscar’s new food!!Dori
MemberHi Kristin D. Are you using a Mac or PC? I can walk you through how to do it on a Mac, not a PC. It’s very simple.
Cyndi
MemberI’m on a Mac as well. For me, I can just drag the coupon to my desktop and print it from there. I don’t remember what to do on a regular pc, but I believe how Bobby dog explained should work. Or, you could always do a screen shot of it and print it like that. I’m not all that computer savy…
Dori
MemberHi Cyndi. How are you able to print the coupons from your Mac to the coupons thread here at DFA? I’m always getting coupons and I’d love to be able to share.
Cyndi
MemberHi Dori, did you mean how am I able to “print” them or how do I “share” them? Those coupons I got were in an email. I took a screen shot of them, uploaded them to photobucket and posted them that way, like you have to do for pictures. It’s kind of confusing but I finally figured out how to do it. I don’t know if there is an easier way to do it or not. There probably is, that’s just the way I know.
& to print them, you can do it the way I explained above in my other post…
Hope that helps! 🙂
Dori
MemberHi Cyndi. I know how to print them. What I can’t seem to figure out is how to “share” them.
I’ll try taking screen shots of them, uploading them to photo bucket and posting them that way and see if I figure it out. Thanks.
DogFoodie
MemberIf you right click and choose save image, then open the file, you can print the coupons.

MemberBobby dog: That’s true… I would probably go to a smaller local pet store then, because they would probably print it out for me:)

ParticipantIf you’re using a store coupon at the store it’s from and have a smart phone, you can just show them the coupon off your phone. Like, if you have a PetSmart coupon and take it PetSmart on your phone, they’ll take it like that.
Bobby dog

Akari_32
ParticipantI’m so proud of all my little couponers!
Bobby Dog, the edit button is at the top right of your post, by where it says reply and report. It goes away after a few minutes.

ParticipantHey guys-
I know that Akari has mentioned the check your bag routine on the Wellness site. I did it once a long time ago. But I tried again yesterday, and I got a $5 coupon again. Can we do this over and over, or is there a limit to how many times? I’m such a rule follower. I don’t want to get in trouble! Lol!Bobby dog
MemberYou can print multiple copies when your printer asks how you many copies you want, however that’s only beneficial if you plan to use them prior to the expiration dates.
I believe they reset them monthly and you can only access it once or twice from the same computer. Hopefully Akari will stop by for confirmation. 🙂
