I have been to the Canidae Website and saw that they have included the ingredients “Cellulase” in with their “Pure” line of premium dog foods. Can anyone tell me why? I have emailed them the question, but I am unsure if I will get a truthful response.

I appreciate feedback on this issue, thanks.

Cellulase is a digestive enzyme that dogs do not produce that is required to break down plant cell walls, a major point in the argument for feeding dogs a more meat based diet, and a good reason for including it in kibble.
