MemberI use to feed my boxer totw southwest canyon with no problems. It actually got rid of his dry skin which I believe was being caused by sweet potato. Anyway, ended up switching him to diamond naturals white fish since thatās what we were feeding my girlfriends dogs. Now weāre travelling and a Tractor Supply near us was out of the naturals so we switch them all to totw southwest canyon. Theyāve been on it for about a month now and they all have diarrhea! So we picked up a bag of 4health untamed wild river for itās limited ingredients. Guess Iām just wondering if this particular 4health is worth the price? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

I have never tried the brands that you mentioned. For a limited ingredient food I have had good luck with Nutrisca (salmon) and Zignature (whitefish or catfish).
Both are grain free and potato free, one of my dogs gets loose stools on foods that contain potato (sweet or white). The other one has environmental allergies and sees a specialist with good results.Nothing wrong with potato, except I donāt think it should be more than 10% of the diet and a lot of kibbles are LOADED with potato (cheap starchy filler). So, I avoid potato altogether.
I have heard good things about Pro Plan Focus for sensitive stomach and skin, itās not grain free, but it is potato free. I may give it a try in the near future.

MemberYeah my boys skin doesnāt like potato. Was just curious about the 4health stuff. Iāll give it a go and see how they do. Thanks for the reply!

MemberHi. I came upon your post when I was searching for info on untamed. Itās been awhile since your post but I am going to submit my opinion just in case you or someone else is looking for feedback on untamed.
I have 2 great pyrenees who are sisters. They both have a sensitivity to foods that result in skin allergy (biting at paws and general itchiness) and/or diarrhea. I have tried countless brands of food, looking for one that would not cause problems for them. Acana, Zignature, TOTW, Natural Balance, Nutro, Merrick, Whole Earth, ProPlanā¦just to name a few.
I have Tractor Supply stores everywhere around me. They were giving out samples and coupons for Untamed so I bought some. Surprise! Problem solved! They love all of the flavors (aside from lamb which as LGD-raised I do not permit them to eat). No itches, no diarrhea.
