MemberI have a Sheltie who is 4 yrs old and is about 10 lbs over weight, need some ideas on “diet” dog food, he is currently on Whole Earth Farms grain free chicken, he gets 1/2 cup in am and pm, we try to do some form of exercise daily………
Pitlove
Memberis the 1 cup daily the suggested feeding amount for his current weight or ideal weight? Exercise is important, but especially for me living down south we can’t always play outside or go for walks because its too humid. My dog is still his ideal weight because I feed him less than the recommended amount due to his reduced activity.
InkedMarie
MemberSheltie? That’s *my* breed! We adopted one years ago that was over 20lbs overweight….we used Welnedd Core reduced fat, feeding her the amount for her ideal weight. If I was looking for a “diet” food now, I’d try Annamaet Lean.
