Thanks, Bdog, Sharon and BC for your well wishes. I am doing better. I was pretty twisted up for a few weeks. It was scary. Just the fact that I can write about it now feels good. I was feeling like a bad cat mom. My boss was pretty understanding as I often went in late and left early. BTW, he is a self admitted cat hater. Boo! I’ve been with the company for almost 17 years and hardly ever miss work. So, I have a lot of paid time off saved up. I’m doing some more research on how to prevent this condition in the future. Possibly some type of anti anxiety meds were suggested by emergency hospital. For now canned Purina U/R and Hills c/d along with regrettably Royal Canin s/o kibble. He was a crunchy addict when I rescued him, but got him to finally eat canned. Him and I really bonded during this crisis. I’ve never heard him purr so much as when he was on pain meds. Lol! We will always have to keep an eye on him as it is common to reblock apparently.
